Baldo
“Baldo” was launched in 100 newspapers in April 2000 by Andrews McMeel Syndication. At the time, it was one of the syndicate’s most successful launches, behind the comics “Calvin and Hobbes” and “Boondocks.”
Today, “Baldo” appears in more than 360 newspapers nationwide, including the Washington Post, New York Daily News, Los Angeles Daily News, Boston Herald, Orange County (Calif.) Register, Dallas Morning News, Minneapolis Star Tribune and San Antonio Express News. The strip is published alongside mainstays like “Garfield,” “Peanuts,” “Curtis,” and “Blondie.”
The first season of the “Baldo” TV show, produced in partnership with Kickstart Entertainment, includes 13 half-hour animated episodes, with a guest appearance by “Golden Boy of Boxing” Oscar De La Hoya. Distributed by Ad Astra Media
