Ad Astra Media Partners With Mexican Non-Profit On Food Sustainability Program
Ad Astra Media has partnered with Fundación El Arbol to teach residents how to grow and produce healthy foods in rural areas in Mexico in order to address and help solve the problems of hunger and food insecurity.

“Hunger is an issue that continues to affect Mexico in large numbers,” said Jose Morey, M.D., Founder and CEO of Ad Astra Media. “It’s believed that twenty million Mexicans don’t have access to food, let alone healthy food. This partnership and program can go a long way toward changing that.”

Using agroecological backyard farms, the "Our Backyard Farm" program helps rural Mexican families produce their own food. Throughout the region of Mexico, 774 direct beneficiaries from 10 rural communities have received assistance through this program. Families participate in the program in teams of 4, and after six months produced up to 50% of their own food while also developing a new level of consciousness about health and the environment. As a result, they had access to sufficient food regardless of distance or economic limitations. These achievements inspire us to continue.
Through this program, children will also have access to one of our S.T.E.A.M. education modules, The Intergalactic Academy comic. With our comic, children can explore the science behind earth, environment, health,
and nutrition in an exciting adventure.
