Biases in AI?
What happens when racial biases are written into the code of AI programs? The new Netflix film Coded Bias, digs into this question. Joy Buolamwini, MIT lab researcher found that facial recognition did not recognize her and other black women. This is connected to the fact that the vast majority of the people who made the code were white men. The unconscious biases within people come through the Ai that they build.
