An Interstellar Experience Mixing Fun and Education

Ad Astra Media partners with Warn Everyone! Comics on our Digital and Print Comic, The Intergalactic Academy. Reaching roughly 10,000 viewers on Webtoons and hundreds on Instagram each week, our comic has increased in popularity among teens ages 13 - 17 interested in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Filled with action, suspense, and interstellar intrigue, the Intergalactic Academy explores themes of friendship, inclusivity, teamwork, and personal growth as the characters navigate challenging missions and unravel mysteries across the galaxy.

The Academy

Each character represents one of the letters in the acronym S.T.E.A.M., allowing for a diverse range of personalities and interests to be showcased. By intertwining their narratives, the comic book explores the interconnectedness of the STEAM fields and highlights the importance of combining different skill sets to solve complex problems. Ultimately, the character development process for the Intergalactic Academy comics aims to inspire readers to appreciate STEAM while showcasing the incredible potential of individuality.

The Beginning to Now

The storyboarding process for the Intergalactic Academy comic involved visually planning to organize the narrative flow of the story. Upon outlining the key scenes, we moved into sketching rough panel layouts to determine the pacing for each page. Through this process we were able to create the character’s actions, dialogues and emotions in each panel. We experimented with different angles, perspectives, and visual techniques, resulting in the dynamic and captivating comic book we have now.

From Farm To Table

The Animatic
